7,281 AWARDS TOTALING $17.1 MILLION
Grants are great resources for you to help with college expenses. Grants are "gift aid" (no payment required) generally awarded to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need based on filing the FAFSA.
More than 600 teaching majors can take advantage of the Federal TEACH Grant Program designed for students planning to teach in a high-need field. UNI has actively participated in the Federal TEACH Grant Program since its inception five years ago. At the national level, UNI is the 8th public university in dollars administered in the TEACH Grant. In FY18, grant recipients totaled 1.5 million in TEACH grant assistance. The TEACH Grant provides up to $4,000 for a total of $16,000 to an undergraduate.
