Financial Literacy
The mission of the Financial Literacy Outreach Program is to provide UNI students with information, opportunities, and tools to be financially literate. Our Live Like a Student class and Panther CashCourse provide information and resources about financial literacy topics such as:
- Budgeting
- Credit & Credit Cards
- Identity Theft & Protection
- Saving & Investing

Financial Literacy Requirement
All incoming freshmen are required to complete either Live Like a Student or Panther CashCourse.
Live Like a Student
Live Like a Student is a free, three-week financial literacy course offered throughout the year. Students attend 6 sessions to learn information about budgeting, financial goal setting, credit, retirement, and much more.
Panther CashCourse
Panther CashCourse is a free, online financial literacy course offered through eLearning. It includes learning modules, articles, quizzes, and interactive calculators.
Financial Literacy Month
The month of April is dedicated to a variety of sessions helping you take control of your finances.
