- American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students
Deadline: March 1
Amount: One time $2,000
Description: Getting a job or staying competitive in today’s workplace involves showing employers you have the skills and experience to get the job done. In many cases, returning to college is a must. The American Legion Auxiliary's goal is to do all we can to make that happen, and that’s what the Non-Traditional Student Scholarship is all about. This scholarship helps people who are part of The Legion Family pursue a college degree later in life or allow them to pick up where they left off when their studies were interrupted.

- AMVETS National Scholarship Program

Amount: $1,000 annually for four years for $4,000 total. As well as scholarships for $3,000 annually for $12,000 total

AMVETS is proud to offer scholarships/grants to our nation’s Veterans, Active Duty, Guard and Reserves; their Spouses as well as their Children and Grandchildren.
AMVETS scholarships are designed to fulfill a financial gap after all Federal/State grants and/or scholarships available to an eligible applicant have been exhausted.

Description: The Pat Tillman Foundation identifies remarkable military service members, veterans and spouses, empowering them with academic scholarships, lifelong leadership development opportunities and a diverse, global community of high-performing mentors and peers. Our scholars are making an impact as they lead through action in the fields of healthcare, business, public service, STEM, education and the humanities.

- Sarah A. Bonnifield Vietnam Veterans Scholarship Fund
Sacramento Region Community Foundation

Award Amount: $1,000
Description: Sarah Bonnifield chose that the majority of her estate be left for the benefit of several veteran organizations and other nonprofit organizations including the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 500. The Sarah A. Bonnifield Vietnam Veterans Scholarship Fund was established by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 500 to honor Sarah Bonnifield in perpetuity by providing financial support in the form of a scholarship each year to a Vietnam Veteran or a dependent or relative of a Vietnam Veteran.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a Vietnam Veteran or a dependent or relative of a Vietnam Veteran (relative may be a spouse, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, nephew or niece)
- Be pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university
- Provide a copy of the Veteran’s DD214 or submit proof of military service
- Demonstrate financial need
- VFW’s “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship”
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
Application Window: Applications for the fall semester are accepted January 1-April 30; applications for the spring semester are accepted August 1-November 15
Scholarship Amount: Up to $5,000
Description: The VFW's "Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship" provides service members and veterans with the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt. It’s just another way for us to say “thank you” to those who fought for our freedoms.
Scholarship Details:
- Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified applicants.
- Awarded scholarships are limited to one per family per semester.
- Applications for the fall semester will be accepted Jan. 1 through April 30.
- Applications for the spring semester will be accepted Aug. 1 through Nov. 15.
- Fall semester scholarships will be awarded in August, and spring semester scholarships will be awarded in January.
- Scholarships must be used by the end of the school semester for which the veteran is applying or they will become null and void.
- Scholarships are restricted for tuition and fees only and will be paid directly to accredited schools.
Eligible Applicants Must:
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be retired, honorably discharged, active duty, or a member of the National Guard or Reserve.
- Have completed Basic Training and follow-on training (Advanced Individual Training, technical school, etc.).
- Separated with or currently hold a military rank of E-5 or below.
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
- Participate in, be accepted to or currently enrolled in a VA-approved program or school at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Veterans United Foundation Scholarship
Application Periods: Spring: February 1-February 28; Fall: September 15- October 15
Description: The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship creates opportunities for family members of service members and Veterans to achieve their educational dreams. Launched in 2012, the scholarship program is funded by contributions from Veterans United Home Loans and its employees. Since our scholarship program was created, over $1 MILLION has been awarded to support the educational dreams of military families across the U.S.
Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship program, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- The applicant is a veteran with 100% service-connected disability
- The applicant is a surviving spouse of a deceased servicemember from a service-related death
- The applicant is a surviving child of a deceased servicemember from a service-related death
- Harold & Muriel Berkman Charitable Foundation, Inc. Veteran Scholarship
- Application Window: April 10-July 15
- Amount: $1,000 one-time
- Description: The Foundation was founded by Harold W. Berkman and his wife, Muriel, to pursue their longstanding dedication and commitment to higher education in the United States in preparing future business leaders and promoting the growth of knowledge into effective business and administration.
- Scholarships are limited to U.S. Citizens who are matriculating in a university accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
- Given the particular interest in supporting the education of U.S. Veterans, the Foundation seeks to award scholarships to U.S. Veterans and especially seeks students holding a Combat Infantrymen’s Badge, suffered a serious injury due to combat action (such as a missing limb), received a Purple Heart, served or continue to serve with honor and distinction, or were honorably discharged from military service.

Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- U.S. citizen currently enrolled and attending a four-year accredited college or university in the United States as a sophomore or junior at the time of application. Freshman and senior level students are ineligible to apply. You cannot apply the year you are graduating.
- Enrolled part time or full time in an eligible undergraduate degree program.
- Have an overall 3.0 GPA.
- Candidates must be majoring in the following C4I-related fields related to the mission of AFCEA:
- aerospace engineering, astronomy, biometry/biometrics, chemical engineering, computer engineering, computer forensics science, computer programming, computer science, computer systems, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, geospatial science, industrial engineering, information science, information technology, information resource management, intelligence, mathematics, mechanical engineering, network engineering, network security, operations, research, physics, robotics engineering, robotics technology, statistics, strategic intelligence and telecommunications engineering.
- Served in Overseas Contingency Operations (from 2003 to present) - provide DD214 or Certificate of Service. Paperwork must verify deployment. Remove SSN.
War Veteran Teacher Certification Program
Students actively pursuing a credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) subjects at a U.S. elementary, middle/intermediate and high schools are eligible. Current credential and licensure students must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree.

Description: The NMCRS Education Assistance Program is designed to help eligible Navy and Marine Corps families pursue their academic goals by providing scholarships and interest-free loans. Awards are provided based on the applicant's financial need, and in accordance with policies established by the Society's Board of Directors.
Eligibility:
- Children of active duty, retired or qualifying deceased Sailors and Marines (Must be under age 23 by September 30 of current academic year) or Surviving children of Sailors and Marines who passed on active duty or after retirement

- Description: As part of our commitment to military veterans, Google established the Google SVA Scholarship in partnership with Student Veterans of America. The scholarship provides assistance to student veterans who are pursuing university degrees in the field of computer science in the U.S.

At Allied Van Lines, we believe that educational advancement is paramount in improving the lives of individuals from all walks of life—from young adults recently graduating from high school, to career adults seeking continued education for the improvement of their portfolio, a quality education is always the first and most important step in raising the bar for one’s life in many more ways than one.
Due largely to this belief, we are excited to kick start the opportunity of offering our first ever Military Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Operational Management Scholarship, available to all those current or former active duty military and their dependents who qualify. Description: The Higher Education Scholarship program was established to provide post-secondary scholarship assistance for spouses and dependents of our nation’s service members. By standing in the financial gap of the more than one million dependents adversely affected by war, Folds of Honor is honoring their sacrifice by educating their legacy.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Scholarships are for one (1) of the following categories: high school students who are concurrently enrolled in college courses or undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in community college, college or a university; certificate/licensure/technical program (accredited programs are vetted and approved by a third-party foundation).
- Scholarships can only be awarded to those seeking a first bachelor’s degree (master’s and graduate programs are not eligible).
- Scholarships cannot be offered to those seeking a second bachelor’s or a certificate program after obtaining a first bachelor’s degree.
- Scholarships awards are up to $5000 per academic year (starts Aug. 1, 2019). Funds are awarded per payment term (fall, spring, or summer), not to exceed $2500 per term. If, after completing the check in for each payment term, it is determined that the awardee has an unmet need of less than $2500, FoH will only disburse the actual unmet need as shown on the statement of account and will retain the remaining balance.
- John S. McCain International Scholarship for Military Families

Description: The U.S. Department of State’s Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. Developed under the framework of the State Department’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, the John McCain International Scholarship for the Children of Military Families (Gilman-McCain Scholarship) is open to eligible students enrolled at accredited U.S. colleges and universities who receive any type of Title IV federal financial aid.
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship is a congressionally funded initiative of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and named after the late senator John S. McCain from Arizona. With the support of the U.S. Congress, this scholarship honors the Senator’s legacy of public service by enabling children of active duty military to develop the leadership and career readiness skills and global perspective to pursue careers of service and contribute to preserving the principles and alliances that are critical to an international order based on the rule of law, human rights, and democracy.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be:
- A citizen of the United States;
- An undergraduate student in good standing at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States (including both two-year and four-year institutions);
- Dependent child of an active duty military member(s) during the time of application in one of the following branches: Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard;
- Recipient of any type of Title IV federal financial aid; and
- Applying for credit-bearing study abroad programs in a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Travel Advisory System. However, certain locations within these countries or areas may be designated within the Travel Advisory as either “Do not travel to” (Level 4) or “Reconsider travel to” (Level 3) locations, as such; students will not be allowed to travel to these specific locations. Moreover, students are not eligible to apply for programs in a country or area with an overall Level 3 or 4 Travel Advisory.

Description: The Spouse/Caregiver Scholarship Program identifies, recognizes, and rewards post-9/11 spouses/caregivers for their strength, fidelity, and resolve despite adversity. Scholarships aid in continued education at a reputable, accredited university, college, or trade school for spouses/caregivers as they assume critical roles in the financial well being of their families.
- Honorary Scholarship – Awarded to those seeking graduate or post-graduate degree.
- New Beginnings Scholarship – Awarded to those pursuing entry-level classes or training.
- Restoring Family Scholarship – Awarded to Spouses of the Fallen
- Restoring Hope Scholarship – Awarded to an MSW Student
- Restoring Self Scholarship – Awarded to those seeking any undergraduate degree.
Caregiver and Military Spouse Scholarships are made payable to the scholarship recipient’s institution for payment of tuition, books and supplies. The scholarship is for U.S. Colleges and universities only.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must complete and submit the application/certification forms along with:
- Proof of service
- Proof of injury/death
- Original essay
- Two-page questionnaire
- One letter of recommendation
- Patriot Legacy Fund
Description: Patriot Legacy Fun is dedicated to helping the children of service-disabled veterans achieve their educational goals. We honor the service of our Nation's heroes by providing scholarships to their children and helping ease the burden of rising educational costs. Awards are based on financial need, past academic success and commitment to service within their community.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be 23 or under as of April 30th of the current application year, unmarried, and a dependent of a US veteran with a VA service-connected disability rating of 10% or higher
- Not be a member of the National Guard, Reserves, or other military branch
- Be enrolled, accepted, or pending acceptance into an undergraduate program of an accredited post-secondary or vocational institution in the US
- Not be a student that has previously completed an undergraduate degree or attending a Service Academy
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (mid-year documentation is required before second disbursement)
- Not already be fully funded by other sources
- Fisher House: Scholarships for Military Children

- Description: Commissaries are an integral part of the quality of life offered to service members and their families. The Scholarships for Military Children Program was created in recognition of the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and to celebrate the role of the commissary in the military family community. It is the intent of the program that a scholarship funded through contributions be awarded annually for each commissary operated by the Defense Commissary Agency worldwide.
- The Scholarships for Military Children Program is primarily funded through the generosity of manufacturers and suppliers whose products are sold at military commissaries, worldwide. We encourage military families to take advantage of their commissary benefits that not only provide a savings of more than 30 percent on the products purchased, but also support the military community through programs such as this scholarship. The purchase of products from these companies funds the Scholarships for Military Children program.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Only dependent unmarried children under age 23 of active U.S. military duty personnel, reserve/guard and retired military members, or survivors of U.S. service members who died while on active duty (also see Heroes' Legacy Scholarship) or survivors of individuals who died while receiving retired pay from the military, may apply for a scholarship. Dependent children of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), Public Health Service, other federal or military related agencies or activities, or DoD civilian employees are not eligible unless they meet the above requirement. Applicants should ensure that they, as well as their sponsor, are currently enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) database (or call 1-800-538-9552) and that they have a current dependent military ID card. The DEERS database will be the primary method of verifying eligibility.
Scholarships for Military Children - Fisher House Foundation
- Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

Description: The mission of the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund is two-fold. First, it helps offset the high cost of a college education for the sons and daughters of American heroes. Second, it is a reminder to the recipient that their parents’ sacrifice will never be forgotten by a grateful nation.
Eligibility Requirements: Scholarship available to the dependent son or daughter of a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman or Marine who has:
- Been killed in action.
- Become 100% total & permanently disabled as a direct result of an operational or combat mission, or suffered a major limb amputation due to enemy action.
- *Qualifying parent must have received an Honorable Discharge.
- Been classified as a Prisoner of War (POW) or Missing in Action (MIA).
- Been awarded the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, the Distinguished Service Cross, the Air Force Cross, or the Coast Guard Cross.
- Been involved in a training accident that resulted in the death of the service member or caused an immediate inability to continue serving (100% total and permanently disabled).
- Pell Grant Eligibility for Dependents of Deceased Service Members and Safety Officers
Description: If your parent or guardian died in the line of duty while either (a) serving on active duty as a member of the U.S. armed forces on or after September 11, 2001; or (b) actively serving as and performing the duties of a public safety officer, you may be eligible for a Maximum Pell Grant.

Eligibility Requirements: You may be eligible to receive a Maximum Pell Grant, even if you are not eligible for a Federal Pell Grant based on your Student Aid Index, but
- you meet the remaining Federal Pell Grant eligibility requirements;
- your parent or guardian died in the line of duty while either (a) serving on active duty as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces on or after September 11, 2001; or (b) actively serving as and performing the duties of a public safety officer; and
- you are under 33 years old as of January 1 of the year prior to the start of the school year.
How to Apply:
You should start by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form.
Once submitted, your school, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education, will determine your eligibility. You may be asked to submit documentation to help your school confirm your eligibility.
You will have to fill out the FAFSA form every year that you’re in school to stay eligible for federal student aid.
Pell Grant for Dependents of Deceased Service Members and Safety Officers
- Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association (LA FRA)
- Deadline: April 15
- Description: You may apply for LA FRA Member Scholarships if the applicant or sponsor is a member in good standing of the LA FRA or FRA, currently or at time of death. The applicant must be a LA FRA or FRA member; spouse; dependent biological, step, or adoptive child; or biological, step, or adoptive grandchild; or biological, step or adoptive great grandchild of the LA FRA or FRA member.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- LA FRA Scholarship: be awarded annually to the male or female candidate chosen from children or grandchildren of members of the FRA and LA FRA.
- The Sam Rose Memorial Scholarship Fund: To be awarded to the male or female candidate chosen from the sons, daughters, grandsons, or granddaughters of deceased LA FRA and FRA members.
- Allie Mae Oden Memorial Scholarship: is awarded to a candidate chosen from the children or grandchildren of members of the FRA or LA FRA.
- NP Scholarship: Awarded annually to the candidate chosen from children and grandchildren of members of the LA FRA or FRA, or deceased members of the LA FRA or FRA. by the National President and the committee, in the name of the Auxiliary, and designated as the LA FRA National President’s Scholarship.
Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Scholarships
- Military Child of the Year
Description: The annual awards will recognize seven outstanding young people ages 13 to 18. Six of them will represent a branch of the armed forces — the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard — for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life. The seventh award is the Military Child of the Year® Award for Innovation presented by Booz Allen Hamilton. This award goes to a military child who has designed a bold and creative solution to address a local, regional or global challenge.
Eligibility requirements:
- Child must be a legal military dependent. Status confirmed by DEERS enrollment form.
- Child must be between the ages of 13 and 18, at the time of nomination/application
- Child and one adult guardian must be available to travel to the Washington, DC area for the Gala award presentation.
- Officers, directors, employees, and agents of Operation Homefront and its subsidiaries or affiliated organizations, and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each) and those living in the same households of each are not eligible to receive programs, services, grants or donated goods intended for use by Operation Homefront’s clients.
- Previous Military Child of the Year Award® Recipients are no longer eligible.
In addition to the above eligibility requirements, nominees and applicants must:
- Provide Letters of recommendation if selected as a semifinalist
- Consent to a background check if selected as a recipient
- Participate in media and donor opportunities
- American Legion Legacy Scholarship
The American Legion
Application Window: January 1 - March 27
Description: The American Legion’s Legacy Scholarship provides college funding to children of post-9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or those who have a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater.
To qualify and apply for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship, you must be able to answer YES to the following 3 questions.
- Are you currently a high school senior and/or accepted at or attending an institution of higher education?
- Is your institution of higher education a nonprofit and regionally-accredited institution? (If you are unsure, contact your institution's admission office. Regional accreditation applies to the whole school not a program.)
- Does at least one of the following statements apply to you?
- A legal parent of mine died while serving on active duty, U.S. military service on or after September 11, 2001. (Does not have to be a death out-of-country or in combat.)
- A legal parent of mine is a Post-9/11 veteran of the U.S. military, who has been given a disability rating of 50% or higher by the Veterans Administration.
- Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship

Description: The Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship program honors not only those who have fallen in battle, but all who have died or have become disabled through their active military service since September 11, 2001.
Who Can Apply?
Dependent unmarried children under age 23 of active-duty personnel, Reserve/Guard, retired service members and *disabled service members OR survivors of service members who died while on active duty may apply if they meet one of the following additional criteria:
- One of the parents died while serving on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 in any branch or component of the US Armed Forces
- *One of the parents, while serving on active duty on or after September 11, 2001, became disabled - meaning that the parent qualified for receipt of Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (TSGLI)
- *One of the parents, who was on active duty on or after September 11, 2001, received a permanent and total compensation rating of 100% from the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Only students who possess a valid (not expired) U.S. Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card or a DOD dependent ID:

In the past 37 years, Anchor Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships to over 1,000 recipients. In 2018 alone, ASF awarded 43 scholarships (13 of which were renewable) valued at over $128,000.
Anchor scholarships are awarded based upon an equal weighting of academic performance, character, extracurricular activities and financial need. Endowed and administered scholarships have additional criteria; not every applicant is eligible for every endowed or administered scholarship.

- Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund
Application Window: January 1 through April 1
Description: Where It All Began: In November 1994, the USS CHIEF (MCM14) was commissioned in honor of the dedicated service of the Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy, as well as for the honored wartime service of her namesake, USS CHIEF (AM315), and she sails today as a testament to that tradition.
The planning and all subsequent activities leading up to the commissioning was all Chief Petty Officer evolution. One of the significant results of the event was the creation of the Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund (CPOSF). The fund came to fruition with the signing of the Charter of the Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund in January 1998 at the U.S. Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) in Newport, Rhode Island.
Eligibility: Candidates submitting scholarship applications must, in the year of submission of their scholarship application:
- be about to graduate or have graduated from an accredited high school, or equivalent educational institution or have successfully earned a General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- must intend to enter, or be currently enrolled in a community college, vocational college, college or university to complete the curriculum prescribed in or to be graduated with an AA, AS, BA or BS degree.
- must be the immediate family member of either an active duty, retired, reserve or deceased Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy (children may be natural, adopted or step-children)
- Dolphin Scholarship Foundation
- Application Window: October 1 through March 15
- Description:
- Currently, Dolphin Scholarship Foundation sponsors 113 ongoing DOLPHIN SCHOLARSHIPS and 13 Administered Scholarships with annual grants ranging from $1,500 – $4,000 per student for two-year or four-year full-time undergraduate studies as well as students pursuing trade/vocational certification.
- Approximately 30-40 new scholarships are awarded each year. All scholars are selected on the basis of academic proficiency as well as commitment and excellence in school and community activities. Although not a part of the actual selection process, financial need is considered once all financial aid assistance for an applicant has been determined. Since our founding over 60 years ago, Dolphin Scholarship Foundation has granted over $14,000,000 to more than 1,500 outstanding students attending universities and colleges throughout the U.S.
- Spouse scholarships
- We understand the hard work and many sacrifices that our military spouses make while keeping things together at home, oftentimes putting their own goals and ambitions on hold. We hope that by offering scholarships to eligible spouses working toward their first undergraduate degree or trade/vocational certification, we can provide assistance in making some of those goals achievable.
- Tailhook Educational Foundation
- Application Window: December 15 through March 1
- Description:
- Here is a quick review of our Tailhook Educational Foundation (TEF) scholarship process. Our scholarship application window is open each year from 15 December through 1 March. TEF’s scholarship committee, consisting of about 10 board members and academic professionals, reviews the 500–600 applications for several weeks. The more than 100 scholarship awardees receive notification in May of their selection to receive a TEF grant for the upcoming academic year. Applicants are eligible to receive scholarships each year they are enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program. However, they must apply and compete for a TEF scholarship each year. Please believe us when we say the competition for these valuable TEF grants remains fierce. By June, the awardees are assigned to a specific scholarship, with our highest scoring awardees receiving TEF’s top valued scholarships. TEF issues the grant checks to each student via their school bursar office in August. TEF also updates our “Scholars and Donors” webpages in August with the latest list of scholarship awardees and sponsors.
Eligibility Requirements:
- High school graduate and child or grandchild of a current or former Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer,
or Air-crewman. - Or
- Children / grandchildren of individuals who served onboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

- Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation
- Deadline: October 1 pre-qualification opens, February 1 pre-qualification closes, March 1 application due
- Award Amount: ~$5,000
- Description: The Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation is sponsoring over 50 scholarships to further the post secondary education of Navy dependents from the aviation community. Most scholarships are $3,800 and some are renewable. Scholarships can only be used for tuition charged by the college. This is for undergraduate work only and Reserve Officer Candidate Programs (full scholarship students including service academies) or any other full scholarship recipients are not eligible.

- DEPENDENT CHILDREN CANDIDATES
- Children are defined as: natural born, adopted or stepchildren, unmarried, up to the age of 22 on March 1st of applying year. Those who are children (no grandchildren) of a sponsor must be graduates or graduating seniors of an accredited high school or an equivalent home school or institution and must plan to attend an accredited academic institution in the 2019-2020 school year. College students must be enrolled in a regionally accredited Trade/Technical School, College or University as a full time student taking a minimum of 12 credits in order to graduate with an A.A., A.S, B.A. or B.S degree or industry certification. Children of a sponsor can receive up to four (4) awards.
- DEPENDENT SPOUSE CANDIDATES
- Those who are spouses of a sponsor must plan to be, or are currently enrolled in a regionally accredited Trade/Technical School, College or University as a full time or part time student, taking a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (12 per year) in order to graduate with an A.A., A.S., B.A. or B.S. degree or industry certification. No scholarships are awarded for Graduate programs/study.
- Should the scholarship recipient fail to maintain the required criteria (ex: dropping out) the scholarship award must be returned or reimbursed to the Foundation. Spouses may recieve an unlimited number of awards while pursuing an A.A., A.S., B.A. or B.S. degree.
