MBA Students
Due to the structure of the program, MBA students have specific considerations regarding financial aid.
Financial Aid Requirements:
You must be degree-seeking (fully accepted into the MBA program, 157MBA plan) and enrolled at least half-time (5 credit hours) to receive financial aid.
You must be registered for both first and second-half semester classes prior to the start of the semester.
Complete a FAFSA (available starting October 1st each year). This application covers the fall, spring, and summer semesters (in that order).
Additional information may be required after completing your FAFSA. Check your email and your Student Center To Do List regularly for any items that may need to be completed.
After your financial aid offer has been created, you will be able to view your financial aid on MyUNIverse and accept any loans you would like to borrow.
If you are borrowing federal loans, make sure you have completed Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN).
How much money can I borrow?
As a graduate student, you may borrow up to the Cost of Attendance (as determined by UNI) minus any other financial aid. The annual borrowing limit for the Direct Unsubsidized Loan is $20,500.
When do I receive financial aid?
Financial aid is scheduled to disburse 10 days prior to the start of each semester.
