Iowa Workforce Grant

The Iowa Workforce Grant and Incentive Program provides grant funding for students enrolled full-time in eligible undergraduate programs of study at an eligible school. Students enrolled part-time can qualify for prorated award amounts. Students must complete the FAFSA on or before July 1 and have a Student Aid Index (SAI) at or below 7,000. Please see below for a list of eligible majors.

In the event that available state funds are insufficient to pay the full amount of each approved grant, the Iowa College Student Aid Commission has the authority to administratively reduce the award. The amount of grant money you receive from the Iowa Department of Education may change based on available state funding. The funded maximum 2025-26 award is $1,000 per semester for full-time students.
