Transferring to UNI is easy to understand and easy to do.

We're known for being a transfer-friendly university.

We "get" transfer students at UNI and have an entire team that is passionate about aiding you on your journey here. Their main focus is you and ensuring you're prepared for this next move of yours. Whether it's reviewing your credits, assisting you with selecting courses at your current college or connecting you with an academic advisor from your major, they're ready to help. It's a complete joy seeing students, like Wyatt, Pablo and Emily, find their way and flourish at UNI.

“I was happy with how the transfer process went. It was super easy."

A support network awaits.

One in three new UNI students are transfer students so you'll be in good company alongside others making the same transition. It's likely many of your classmates will be fellow transfer students.

Skip the general eds.

If you enter UNI with a Associate of Arts (AA)* or Associate of Science (AS)* degree, you'll have all your general education requirements satisfied. This means you'll be able to jump into your major coursework right away.  (*Coursework from regionally accredited institutions.)

Expect a seamless transition.

Our campus is truly transfer-friendly with proof being our transfer center, transfer-specific scholarships, transfer housing communities and even a student organization exclusive to transfer students!
