David W. Wilson Scholars Endowed Fund
The David W. Wilson Scholars Endowed Fund was established to provide scholarship support for students who graduate from a high school in Tama County and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship covers tuition, fees, and room & board after all grants and other earned scholarships are applied. Students awarded the scholarship are identified as Wilson Student Scholars.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current senior attending a Tama County high school with preference for a student from North Tama High School.
- A minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrates a commitment to learning and success in the face of adversity through the UNIversity Scholarship Application essay
- Files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Pursuing a major from the Wilson College of Business
- Enrolling and maintaining a full-time course load (12 credits or more per semester)
As the donor intends that Wilson Student Scholars be earning to learn or learning to give, students awarded the scholarship are expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per week during the school year in either a paid position or as a volunteer with a nonprofit organization OR 320 hours during the summer. This award is renewable for an additional three years provided the student maintains a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, enrolls full-time as a business major and continues to meet the volunteer/work expectations.

Application Process
- Complete the UNI Scholarship Application by February 7 and upload an essay describing how you have succeeded in the face of adversity in your life.
- File the FAFSA prior to February 7.
