A master's in mathematics is available with emphases on mathematics, secondary teaching and community college teaching. The mathematics emphasis is available with thesis and non-thesis options. A minimum of 36 semester hours, including 6 hours of MATH 6299, is required for the thesis option. A minimum of 32 semester hours is required for the non-thesis option. This includes the successful completion of a research paper (completed as 3 hours of MATH 6299) and passing a set of comprehensive examinations.
