The University of Northern Iowa offers over 40 graduate programs in a diversity of areas. General Admission Requirements
Prospective graduate students must have graduated from an undergraduate program with results equivalent to a 3.00 GPA (grade point average) or above on a 4.00 scale. In addition, the following must be submitted:
A completed online application form- A non-refundable application fee of $75
- All post-secondary educational transcripts*
- Proof of English proficiency**
Additional documents as required by individual departments- Standardized exams are required for some programs
- A copy of the personal data page of your passport
A completed UNI Financial Statement and Certification form
*3-year bachelor's degrees will be considered for admission to UNI master's programs.
**Students seeking conditional admission, due to low English proficiency, need a 46 on the TOEFL, a 5.5 on the IELTS, or a 75 on the Duolingo.
