Spring 2025 Financial Aid Disbursement Info and more!
The Spring 2025 semester will be starting soon. Please review the following information on important dates and items to complete to ensure your financial aid pays out on time.
Important Dates:
- The Spring U-Bill will be posted on January 2, 2025
- Financial aid is set to disburse on January 13, 2025
- The Spring U-Bill is due January 20, 2025
Things to complete before the Spring semester (if not already completed):
- Complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA.
- Review your financial aid offer and accept any loans or work-study you would like to use.
- If borrowing loans, make sure to complete the online loan requirements:
- Entrance Counseling
- Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- The MPN may not be required if you've received a Federal Direct Loan within the last 10 years.
- If borrowing a Graduate PLUS Loan, a separate Graduate PLUS MPN is required.
- If your parent is borrowing a Parent PLUS Loan, they must complete the Parent PLUS MPN.
- Check your Student Center To Do List on your MyUNIverse account and complete any outstanding items as these could prevent your financial aid from paying.
- Submit your final high school transcript and/or college transcript to the Office of Admissions.
- If you are receiving the TEACH Grant, complete the following requirements:
Financial Aid Refund Reminders:
- Sign up for Direct Deposit to ensure you receive any refund you are expecting as quickly as possible.
- Grant Permissions to allow your financial aid to credit to any expenses on your U-Bill, not just tuition and fees.
Important Policies:
- Financial aid is paid based on your enrollment at the time of disbursement. Scholarships require full-time enrollment. Grants are prorated based on enrollment (you receive less if enrolled less than full-time). Loans require half-time enrollment. If you are enrolled Less than Full Time, your Financial Aid Offer must be revised to match your enrollment status, which may cause a delay in your financial aid being disbursed. Please finalize your enrollment as soon as possible.
- You must be enrolled in classes before the 10th day of the semester (the census date) in order to receive financial aid for those classes. Classes added after the 10th day of the semester will not increase your financial aid eligibility.
- Review the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy to learn how your academics and dropping classes may impact your financial aid eligibility. You should always contact our office if you are considering dropping classes or withdrawing from the semester to determine if your current or future financial aid eligibility will be affected.
