What are the most valuable skills and knowledge you gained from your studies at UNI?

I have learned the value of hard work, perseverance, leadership, & my entrepreneurship skills through my studies at UNI and being involved in many co-curricular activities.

How did your time at UNI shape your future plans and opportunities?

UNI has absolutely paved my path for my professional and entrepreneurial career. I was able to start my IT business out of UNI John Papajohn Entrepreneurial Center. I have gained so much business/professional skills and being mentored by some of the best business experts in Iowa. This experience allowed me to create companies like Cedar Valley Food Runner, MyTwon2Go, FanFood, and 4axiz IT Solutions USA.

UNI has allowed me to develop a student engagement mobile application UNI Tradition Challenge while I was a student which added a huge value to my resume. All these experiences helped me secure a Job as a Programmer Analyst at UNI after graduation.

What is your best memory of your time at UNI (social or academic)?

Receiving UNI LUX award (top undergraduate academic and service award) was the best college experience I had at UNI. I was so honored and humbled by this experience at my graduation.

What do you think sets UNI apart from other schools?

UNI's small size class room, available opportunities for international students, and commitment to students success absolutely sets UNI apart from other school. We would not get valued life-long mentor like Kristi Marchesani who are committed to international student's success everyday.

What do you wish someone would have told you when you first enrolled at UNI?

Get involved with two student clubs, lead at least one club, and take LAC and elective classes based your personal interest to widen your knowledge.
