The application process is easy for all students. You’ll be required to create an account (which we call your CatID) to access the UNI Application. If you’ve previously applied or already have a CatID, you’ll need to log-in using that account to begin.

New Freshmen

Students currently attending a U.S. high school or high school graduates that have not enrolled in college.

Application Fees

Undergraduate Students: The application fee is $40 for U.S. students and $50 for international students. Fee waivers are available for U.S. students who quality. International students can request to defer their fee.

Graduate Students: The application fees is $60 for U.S. students and $75 for international students. Application fees are waived for UNI alumni.


Campus Security & Crime Statistics

Campus Security & Crime Statistics, in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, information on crime statistics for recent years, Public Safety personnel and programs, building access, reporting crimes, safety suggestions, and policies, programs, and services regarding alcohol, drugs, and sexual abuse, is available in the UNI Annual Security and Fire Report.  A paper copy is available from the Department of Public Safety, 030 Gilchrist Hall, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA 50614.
