Diversity and Inclusion
Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, students with disabilities, first-generation students, and other historically marginalized populations face many obstacles and barriers when applying to and attending colleges and universities, and at UNI we recognize that. UNI is dedicated to minimizing the challenges, obstacles and addressing the systemic barriers. Here are various opportunities, resources and programs that await you at UNI, ready to support you.
Creating Your Community
Jump-start
your UNI experience
UNI's Jump Start Program is focused on helping underrepresented students successfully transition to UNI by providing them with the resources and support network to take on this next chapter of their life. It is held the week prior to the first week of classes and includes an early move-in for students living on campus.
