Step 1) Submit Application for Admission:
Online applications can be found at: Apply Online
Step 2) Pay $40 Application Fee:
Online applicants may submit their application fee by one of two ways:
- Submit payment by credit card after completing the electronic application, or;
- Send a check or money order made payable to the University of Northern Iowa. Please include the student’s name and date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) for matching with the application
If completing a paper application, please submit the application fee by check or money order.
Step 3) High School Students
Have a copy of your transcript on hand when completing the application. You are strongly encouraged to provide your high school academic information as part of the application. If you provide your high school academic information, you will not be required to submit your high school transcript until you have graduated.
After graduation, please ask your high school to send your FINAL official* transcript, which will include your date of graduation and class rank.
Step 4) Transfer Students
You must have a separate (official*) transcript sent from EACH college you have attended. If you completed two years (or more) of foreign language in high school, have a high school transcript sent as well.
*To be considered Official, a transcript must be sent directly from an institution to the UNI Admissions Office in a sealed envelope.
