Career Goal(s): Become a physical therapist after graduate school.
What kind of on-campus organizations/activities are you involved in? How does that involvement enrich your overall college experience?
I am currently on the cheerleading squad, a presidential scholar in the University Honors Program, I participate in the Pre-Physical Therapy Club, am a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor fraternity, and I participated in Cat Crew (a leadership organization that takes incoming freshmen through Welcome Week activities). Becoming involved on campus has greatly enriched my overall college experience. Not only have I met some of my best friends through these organizations/activities, but have also made important connections for the future and have learned how to manage my time well.
What surprised you the most about UNI?
The thing that surprised me most about UNI is how simple it was to make so many connections in the short year and a half I have been here. Professors are always willing to help when you reach out to them and the student population was very friendly and inclusive.
How has your academic experience been? Tell us about any great classes or professors that inspired or challenged you. Are you happy with your major choice?
My academic experience has been challenging, but I know that my education is preparing me for the future very well. I am happy with my major choice and I know that what I am learning will be applicable in my career. The professors at UNI are all very passionate about what they are teaching, but my favorite professor was Dr. Jeremy Schraffenberger. Dr. Schraffenberger was very passionate, went out of his way to help students further understand, and always went above and beyond.
