Career Goal(s): Plans to get a Ph.D. and find a job where he is happy.
What kind of on-campus organizations/activities are you involved in? How does that involvement enrich your overall college experience?
I am involved in UNI Dance Marathon, which I was a Morale captain for. I am a photographer for the Northern Iowan, and I am involved in a small organization called S.O.L.E (student outdoor leadership education). Each involvement has given me experiences that I would never take back, especially Dance Marathon. Being involved has really brought me out of my shell. They have shown me how I can make a difference in the lives of other people both on and off of our campus and I am very thankful for the opportunities I have gotten at UNI.
How has your academic experience been? Tell us about any great classes or professors that inspired or challenged you. Are you happy with your major choice?
My academic experience has been absolutely incredible, all of my professors will work with me and help me accomplish a hindrance I might have within their class. I am not only happy with my major choice but I recommend it to all others. Physics opens up a lot of opportunities for me and will do nothing but make me more intelligent. My favorite classes so far have been my two astronomy classes and my physics class. I am learning about the universe, and how it works right at home, that’s the dream.
What's the best thing about UNI?
I really believe the best thing about UNI is how easy it is to fit in, everyone has an open mind and will want to be your friend here. Along with that, the relationships with your professors are very personal and they want you to learn.
